“Crafts for A Cause is all about giving back,” says Jennifer. “It’s inspired by Winston Churchill’s quote, ‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.’ It is an absolute honor to partner with local charities that impact the lives of so many people in our community and worldwide.”
Since February, when the business opened its storefront on the main floor by Macy’s at The Mall at Robinson, the company has been donating a portion of its proceeds to a different nonprofit each month. The business has benefitted Beverly’s Birthdays, Crisis Center North, Global Sisterhood, Hayden’s Heart, Still Remembered and CLASS through its charitable wing, Crafts for a Cause.
Hobby Prodigy’s goal us to contribute to the community one craft at a time. Hobby Prodigy raises funds to help local non-profits, raise awareness and to give guests an insight on all the charities offer. Hobby Prodigy achieves this goal by educating customers about each adopted charity before placing their craft order, giving customers content to share, donating 10% of the featured craft in the assigned month, and posting information on the on our website. Customers also have the option of donating any amount to the non-profit at check out. The day of each charities special event, 10% of ALL projects crafted that day will be added to the total month donations.
Currently, Hobby Prodigy is considering nonprofits to benefit next year. The business helps nonprofits by first educating customers about that month’s adopted charity and then donating a portion from the featured monthly craft to that charity.
